From the family vault comes this promotional flyer, about the size of a dollar bill, from Savitt Jewelers, the Asylum Street business that owner Bill Savitt made a Hartford institution for a big hunk of the 20th Century. (He was also the ultimate Hartford booster.) We have no clue as to the flyer's age, but you can tell it goes way back because of lines like these:
